Q: What’s the best airport to fly into?


A: We recommend flying into Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO), which is the main international airport in Rome.


Q: When should I arrive in Rome?


A: The latest guests should arrive is October 12th. One day before the Welcome Party.


Q: Where should I stay?


A: We’ve reserved a room block at Hotel de la Ville. Visit the Travel section for details and additional booking options.


Q: Do I need a passport or visa?


A: Yes, a valid passport is required. U.S. citizens can travel to Italy visa-free for up to 90 days.

Q: Do you have any travel or tourist recommendations while we’re in Rome?


A: Yes! We’ve compiled our favorite restaurants, gelato spots, and sightseeing suggestions on the Things To Do tab.


Q: Do most people in Rome speak English?


A: In tourist areas and hotels, yes. But knowing a few Italian basics (like “Grazie!” and “Ciao!”) goes a long way.


Q: Will transportation be provided between events?


A: For the wedding day, we’ll provide shuttles to and from the venue. For other days, taxis, Ubers, or walking will be your best bet.

Q: What’s the time difference between LA and Rome?


A: Rome is 9 hours ahead of Los Angeles (so when it’s 12 PM in LA, it’s 9 PM in Rome).


Q: Will my phone work in Italy?


A: Check with your carrier about international plans. Many offer daily roaming fees or data passes. You can also buy a local SIM card or use WhatsApp with Wi-Fi.

Q: What currency is used in Italy?


A: Euros (€). Credit cards are widely accepted, but it’s a good idea to carry some cash for taxis or small vendors.


Q: What’s the weather like in October?


A: Typically the weather in October is Warm but not Hot, temperatures between 59F to 73F. The mornings and evenings can be cooler, so it's recommended to pack a light jacket. Check the forecast closer to your travel date!
